Global warming: Is our future at stake!

Our leaders world over have been talking too much on climate change and impending threat to our eco-systems and life on earth but nothing progressive is happening when it comes to real solutions to avert the danger that is looming large.
Treacherous storms, desertification, spread of pest and disease, melting glaciers, rising sea level and ocean acidification are all different manifestations of Global warming and climate change.

The latest floods that have left a trail of devastation in India, disastrous flash floods in September in Turkey and some parts of Greece, and drought like conditions across the world clearly indicate that Global warming is an unavoidable and rearing its ugly head. These events send an alarming signal to us that there is something extra ordinary about the whether we are experiencing.

Lately, we are observing irregular monsoon patterns and unprecedented ferocity in them with which they have crumbled our ultra-modern infrastructure, roads, rail links, bridges; and turned flat lands in to river beds. These are perilous signs of destruction and havoc that we may face more often in the future.

Is it a result of our past actions or man’s tinkering with nature, production of pollution emitting machines or unending spree of hazardous industrialization? While studies have evidently found that human activities have altered air temperatures, sea levels and ocean temperatures, we are still bickering over who takes the imitative - third world countries who have are at the receiving end of nature’s fury or the industrialized nations who are the gluttonous guzzlers of energy and unmindful emitters greenhouse gases.

A report published by IPCC scientists clearly mentions that most of the global warming that has taken place after mid -20th century is man-made. Research on global warming reveals that average global temperature has risen by almost 3 degrees in this century.

As the term for Kyoto Protocol ends in 2012 world governments must come up with an all inclusive agreement in Copenhagen to contain the threat and leave a better future for the inhabitants of the earth.

Resolve can help BJP to evolve from the present crisis

Bhartiya Janta Party had established itself as a political party with a difference; now it has become a party with differences. There are all sorts of views vertical, horizontal, radical which have compelled the RSS boss to intervene and evolve the party differently. BJP has its roots in RSS but it was almost disconnected from its roots while running an NDA government. Once again BJP and RSS have become one and the invisible hand has now become visible. Let us see what the new avatar is going to be for BJP according to its chart.

BJP was formed on 6th April 1980 at New Delhi. At the time of its birth Gemini ascendant was rising on the eastern horizon and planetary configuration was as such: Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu – Leo, Pluto – Virgo, Moon, Uranus, Neptune – Scorpio, Mercury, Ketu – Aquarius, Sun – Pisces and Venus in Taurus.

In BJP’s chart Venus – Mercury are in operation in this year and this period will continue till June 2011. BJP’s lagna is Gemini, Venus is placed in the 12th house which is alright. Mercury is afflicted by the presence of Ketu in the 9th house. Although both the planets Mercury and Venus are beneficial for Gemini lagna but due to this affliction mental war among its leaders is reaching the zenith. An afflicted lord of lagna i.e. Mercury makes the person (read here leaders) agitated, unhappy, frustrated and disturbed and ready to vent their feeling; and this is what we have seen of late.

This period is going to continue till June 2011which means that the time has come when the party should do some introspection and not only tighten their belts but also re-evolve in this process. This dasha indicates that the party will emerge from this crisis but not so easily and it will take quite some time before a cohesive party under one leadership starts emerging; this process will take more than two and a half years.

If we briefly interpret the chart of BJP then a few things become very clear to us. Gemini is the lagna and lord of lagna Mercury is placed along with Ketu in the 9th house. Ketu is a religious planet and 9th house represents religion. Mercury and Ketu also form a rajyoga which is why whenever the party turned to religion it had an impact on the psyche of the nation and was successful too. In astrology we find many paradoxical things as happens in life also. Mercury, Ketu are rajyogakarak and create confusion as well as unhappiness and when a person becomes over religious then there is a problem. The party took religion too far and this went against them. In real sense Ketu is a spiritual planet it does begin its journey from religion and then goes on to spiritualism; but the party did not move from religion.

Union Budget for the Annual Year 2009-10: Demands and Expectations

The General Budget for the annual year 2009-10 will be presented before Lok Sabha on the 6th of July. We would be keeping an eye on the reactions from The Dalal Street and Leading Business houses.

Sensex has crossed the 14000 marks but the Global Economic crisis is still a big concern for everyone. It would be really a difficult challenge for Pranab Babu to keep everybody happy this time. There is a Constant Need for the Improvement in infrastructure needs of the Industries like cement, steel and construction. But the main aspect of this Budget should be focus on the basic needs and Benefits to AAM ADMI. There is a possibility of extension of Lower Interest rates to the industries like carpets, gems & jewellery, textiles etc.

Allocation of Adequate Fund for National Security and Social Benefits should be a primary Concern of this Budget. Foreign Involvement in Indian Infrastructure Industries needs to be increased. Pranab Mukherjee has already had discussions with his Cabinet on the Budget.

It’s quite difficult for the common man to understand the Budget jargon and its real outcomes. The Statistics generally create so much Confusion around the whole budget melodrama. Average Percentage of polling in 2009! Are we looking for the Possible Reasons?

The voting for the third phase of 15th Lok Sabha Election elections is in full swing but we are observing less or less than average polling almost across all the constituencies in the Country. Recent political spates and mudslinging by politicians bear testimony to the downgrading standard of electioneering during the 2009 General Elections compared to the previous one. It is really a matter of concern for the Biggest Democracy of the World. We have seen several Political, Social and Media Campaign to educate and encourage People of India to come forward and Vote. But we are getting odd results! Why is it happening and why are people being so uninterested or is it something else on Indian electorate’s mind his time around? I think there are some serious issues. We have seen subsequent inactiveness and lackadaisical performance of all the ruling governments at the centre on the important issues like Terrorism, Economic Crisis, Corruption, Healthcare, Education and Infrastructure development. India has been grappling these issues for long time now, but this time situation is much more different.

We are facing threat to our security from local insurgents, Naxals and terrorists from our neighboring countries. We have faced ghastly attacks in the recent past but the Central and state Governments have failed to address the issue effectively. We have been witness to the deadliest attack on Mumbai that followed the consequent dirty blame game that politicians have played over it. Apprehensions have been raised on the preparedness of Indian Security forces in dealing with terrorist threats. Politicians have not even spared our valiant soldiers who have fought against the enemy and laid their lives for our country. We have seen an example of worst politics from Democratic Indian Parliamentarians, when they played their game with bundles of rupees in the floor of Lok Sabha. How can we forget the political din and drama displayed Left front on the issue of Atomic Energy Agreement between USA and India. They kept opposing it based on their goddamn logic that it would make India subservient to US tactics.

Other issues that have really bothered Indian electorate are Corruption and Bad Governance. This time we saw some new addition….the security issue of our girls and Young working woman. We have seen belligerence of several right wing Hindu organizations like RSS, Shivsena and Sriramsena, who have used regional issues, cast politics, linguistic factors to divide Indian society once again in the 21st century

Our Political Leaders seem to have stooped so low in the game of vote bank politics that they have not bothered to use Communal Card for getting votes from bewildered Indian Public. It’s such a shame that young and budding politicians like Varun Gandhi made ugly comments on minority communities and threatened fragile communal situation in the UP. Not recently, we have also seen Raj Thackeray played the divisive politics by raking the issue of “Marathi Manus” ( Maharasthrains) and leading a battery of violent protests against “Uttar Bharatya” (People from UP and Bihar) people. And when enough is enough we have Tamil Politics waiting to destroy the wanted peace in the region.

Indian electorate has felt left out by its political class and they have build up deep angst against the Indian Politicians. Common Indian man has felt betrayed time and again by its politicians and is really angry over fake commitments and unfounded promises from them. What we need is leaders with a vision for India and will to serve its masses by keeping their self interests at bay. And, unless we vote to for a change honest and true leaders won’t get a chance to stand up and guide us!

Don't Hit Politicians with shoes, use your Vote.

Shoe makers are now very happy! But I am really concerned about the poor shoe purchasers. Almost every day shoes are being thrown at our Politicians and it’s becomes a major issue in Indian Politics. There is a very serious chance from now that people will preserve their old shoes for this new past time. Our Veteran Politicians are in for a bad time!…..what a bad time for them. I am sure that there will be a new amendment of law, after the election. And our active and responsible politicians must act very quickly & seriously to ensure that shoes never come.

The anti shoe movement is also very popular among all the political parties of India during recent days. They have all showed their anger against shoe thrower, although those politicians are either quiet or very polite and kind about shoe thrower who is victims of this Democratic Missile. Monmohan Singh has specially asked to security personal not to take any action about that shoe thrower who insulted him two days ago.

Now the question is why people are certainly becomes angry and is there any other way to express their anger? Yes, there is no doubt that people are becomes angry but shoe throwing is not a right way to express their views. May I ask a question to all the Indians? Why after every 5 years they are voting for those politicians to whom they are hitting by shoes? Is there any Answer to you my fellow Countrymen?

Many People will ask me that the shoe hitting public are very few even they do not comes under any percentage or Category. Right…..really it’s not means that all the people of India are doing this shameful act but even if a single person do this act it shows how much uneducated, indiscipline and shameless we are. If a single person starts this Dirty act….many will follow him soon and it becomes like a virus. One can give an anti politician slogan or Dharna. But shoe throwing is really a very bad way of Expression your view or anger. Use your vote in place of shoe.

Warning: The list of Shoe hitting politicians will becomes more longer.

Cast and Region is Bigger than the Country! It’s a Fact today.

Don’t you think that the Parties in Tamilnadu who are supporting the LTTE and its terrorist act should be punished according to the constitution and rules and Regulation of India? It is a real Problem since the beginning of Indian history, that we always give the importance of Cast, Religion and Region first but not the human-being and the Country. Why it so? I can’t understand about the policies of Indian Government about cast and Region. There is no value and principle of life as nowadays terrorist becomes a sympathetic issue for Tamil political parties. They are trying to get the maximum benefits by playing dirty political game.

We have seen in recent days that Waiko, Jailalita and even Karunanidhi supported LTTE as a freedom fighting organization. How LTTE can be a Freedom fighting organization, when they are killing innocent Singholi People from a long time, either by Suicide Attack, Assassination and Bomb Blasting! Some Tamil parties and organization is comparing LTTE movement with Indian Freedom Struggle. It is not only unfortunate but also very shameful act. Indian Freedom Fighter always targeted British rule but not the innocent British people. They never use Indian people as a shell in front of British Soldiers.

Now when LTTE is very near to the end of its existence, Tamil Parties and organization in India is very much worries because if LTTE has been destroyed completely than they will not use this issue for their benefits. So they are trying to pressurize or Blackmailing Indian Government and UPA to interferer to the issue. Even going to a step forward Jailalita ask for the demand of a separate state for the Tamil in Sri Lanka. Karunanidhi, who was quiet in this issue earlier, has opened his mouth for the support of Pravakaran and LTTE. And we are watching Waiko almost every day is delivering some anti nation speech.

It is a fact that LTTE is using Sri Lankan Tamils for their benefits from a long time. It is really difficult for Sri Lankan Army to separate LTTE from other common and poor Tamil People. The fact is quite understandable that, those Tamil who were with LTTE from long time should be treated as terrorist. And there is no harm of their dead while trying to destroy the existence of LTTE. It is appreciable for Sri Lankan Government and Army, that they finally have taken the right decision to save their Country. India also should follow the same tactics to destroy the entire terrorist organizations and their activities for ever. There is the necessity of ending Terrorism from its root, and it should happen very quickly.

We are Indian at first. There is no cast, religion or Regional Barricades before that. One must understand it very clear. If some Tamils or Bengalis or Punjabis are involved in any Terror Activities or any crime, Majority of Tamils or Bengalis or Punjabis should not support them on the basis of Region or Cast. The real Problem comes when we divide any Nation into small parts of so called independent Countries. A whole nation is much more healthy, developed and Progressive when they are united. Dirty Caste and Regional Politics always harmful for any country. Country is bigger than these unreal issues. But unfortunately the fact says the different story today.

Lalu Mulayam Paswan coalition…….always a Selfish Act!

Lalu prasad Yadav is a class act of Indian Politics. It becomes much more relevant in the Political Scenario of Indian General Election 2009, when he plays his muster stroke of involving himself in a group of Ram Vilas Paswan and Mulayam Sing Yadav. We all know the secret wish of Lalu, becoming the Prime Minister of India and his recent Political game is indicating the way of the first big step towards that Milestone.
After spending a long time with UPA, lalu still wants to balance his Lalten. After the Confused speech of Panab Mukherjee, Lalu seems to be look like little worry about his dream run. So he reacts quickly and said that he is still a member of UPA. But the Khichri Coalition of Bihar and UP Bhaias may play an important role after the Election result. Although the Selfish act of lalu, Ram vilas and Mulayam is likely Uncovered by everyday Nokjhok between Lalu and Cong. Most of the Benefits are getting by Nitish kumar, who has clearly showed his confidence about a Win.

It can be an interesting subject, if the Trimurti Coalition shows their confidence over Third Front after the 2009 General Election. Sarad Pawar had already shown his interest and now if Lalu and his coalition partners take a decision towards that direction then obviously, the Popularity and Relevancy of Lalu Mulayam Paswan coalition will be on a big question. We have seen lots of Selfish act by many Politicians and now we can expect another one within a gap of almost one month time. So keep patience and wait!

Dreaming about Third Front Government! Is this becomes a Reality or a Joke?

The Coalition Government Politics is not remains a Concept of Political Researchers, but it straightforwardly enters in the room of Indian Democracy from the front Door. The rise of small regional parties demolishes the monopoly of Nationalist Parties like Cong and BJP. Now they have established themselves with a major role in Indian Politics. After Deve Gowda (he had formed government with the help of Congress) Third Front becomes nowhere in Indian Politics.

In this time Election of Loksabha 2009, the regional and some nationalist parties are trying to build an alternative of Third front Government which might have been no basis of realistic Approach. All the major leaders of so called Third Front (who are exciting in dream) are fighting for Prime Ministerial Candidature. They seem to have no unity, nor do they have any single manifesto for 15th Loksabha election. Mayawati and Sarad Pawar have already declared their intention of becomes Prime Minister of India. But how…..nobody knows!

Left Front is a major allay of Third Front. The veteran Leader of Left Front Parties, Comrade Joyti Basu was previously said, that it was a Historical mistake, not to becomes involved in active power in the Central Government. The national Politics of Left Front is becomes more active right now and Initiate action to build a Third Front Government this time. Will they be succeeding? An interesting question with perhaps no answer for now. If it becomes a reality again, there is a small chance that it could exist for a long time in the Power. Right now somebody like me only can consider it, as a Joke.

Only Prime Minister is becomes an Issue! Or they are sleeping with open Eyes…..

The 15th General Loksabha Election of Indian Democracy is not finding any issue. It’s really same for all the Politicians and Political Party Members. It’s very disappointing. The majority of Indian People are still live below Poverty. They are fighting for everyday basic Facilities but who care them? Now the question is why Politicians are getting votes from those people who are suffering from them only? The answer is, there is almost no alternative. Every Politicians are playing dirty game with the voters. They know that if they raise a sensational and hot issue among the public then that issue will become a major Political Headline in all the major media channels. And they can be benefited by this. If Indian Politicians raise the main issue like bad sanitation, drinking water problem, Power cut, Bad Governance, poor basic Education and Law and Administration failure, then they have to answer the questions of Indian people and Media Journalist. And we all know about the honesty, reliability and Commitment of Today’s Politicians of Indian Democracy.

A Prime Minister is not the only person, responsible to take any Decision, but he is surrounded by a group of Ministers, IPS Officers and Experts. So a Failure or a weak presence of Prime ministerial activities does mean a failure or Defeat of total Government Involvement. So only a Prime Minister cannot be an issue of any Election Campaign as there are Party Policies, Common Manifesto Agenda, Coalition Government Restrictions and Ministerial Decisions bounded him to do his work. A great leader also feels helpless in this situation. The raising issue like Prime Ministerial Candidateship is a tactics by Political Leaders to suppress the major issues. They know everything. Their eyes are open while they are doing the sleeping act.

Media Role in Indian Politics

Media is a very important asset in any Democratic and Parliamentarian structure of a Sovereign Country like India. The Active and Useful Participation of various media channels like Digital, Print, Electronic, Voice etc. is now much more effective. Either it is the Involvement of Notorious criminal in Indian Politics or a moral responsibility of following election commission guidelines, the media is playing an important role to cover the news, Conducting Debate and make an Analysis. One of the Popular Example of Media Involvement and Projection in Indian Politics is, Time’s now show relating debate and conversations with distinguish Indian Politicians and Political Experts conducting by Arnab Chakroborti. We can always expect a good result in terms of motivating young and educated Indians as well as create awareness among all the people of the country. Social economic and Political impact in human lives is a big concern issue of today.

There is also another way of Media Involvement under the umbrella of significant Technological growth in India. We cannot forget the huge impact of Internet on Young and Educated People. Advani has already taken an important step to promote his campaign through online. National Parties like BJP and Congress have increased their party projections through websites, Web banners and Social Media involvement. TV Advertisements of parties like BSP, CONG and BJP are becomes more popular and affective. Although the result will be more interesting after the election but the Positive impact of media involvement is already showing its color. The Recent example of Varun Gandhi’s Controversial comments and the Reactions of Lalu Prasad Jadav on that is now becomes a serious issue. This happens only because of real media involvement in it. Also the money Distribution in Indian Politics is a highlighted topic nowadays everywhere. But we cannot forget about some negative impact of media in our Socio Political life. Media should be much more serious and honest when presenting news. The idea that media should serve the society, particularly in the third world, in solving the problems people are facing has already gained momentum. Journalists, politicians and even the general public are talking about the necessity of harnessing the media.

The important identity of a responsible media is playing an unbiased role in reporting a matter without giving unnecessary hype to attract the attention of the gullible public with the object of making money and money only. After reporting properly the media can educate the public to form their own opinion in the matters of public interest. The media can highlight the short-comings of the official machinery in its functioning, bringing out the sufferings of the public in general. The distribution of true knowledge and right massage will surly bring a desirable success to educate and prepare Indian voter among all sections of society to cast their vote.
